Thank you Easter Bunny!

Where "Easter Bunny" = Bompa & Grandma
(Hey, portrait mode worked that time. What's up with that?)

Madonna Loves New York

One more thing about New York. Almost any song is good background music while walking around Manhattan, but one tune that came up randomly on my iPhone really stood out -- Madonna's I Love New York. It started playing just as I was approaching a very busy Penn Station. The wind was blowing quite hard and there was a lot of debris (newspapers) floating around. It seemed mildly apocalyptic, like something out of Cloverfield. Appropriately chaotic. Made me smile.

(Can anyone tell me why blogger insists on rotating my photos taken in portrait mode. Maybe it is an iPhone thing. Trouble in paradise.)

Office Space

Continuing the office theme (no, not the TV show), here is a photo of the view from my new office. We'll be moving again in a few months, but this is home for now.

Gold Bikinis Never Go Out of Style

Hi. I had a midday meeting with Omniture in New York City yesterday so I decided to go early and stay late. While camping at Comcast's offices across from Bryant Park, they let me use an amazing office. I had to ask twice to make sure I was in the right place. Here are some photos.

Then I hooked up with Dave Moody for a quick walk through MoMA and some sauntering through upper midtown. I'm a charter member of the David C. Moody fan club so it was great to spend time with him. Here's a photo of some people who were walking behind us at MoMA. Oh, and there's some art in the background.

After parting ways with Dave, I made my way over to Toys R Us to buy some goodies for the kids and then it was time to head back to Penn Station for the 8:15 Acela to Philadelphia. I was home by 10:00. Good day, eh? BTW, it is nice to know that gold bikinis never go out of style. I was beginning to worry about the long term value of our stash of gold bikinis.

Chinese Free Speech Suppression / Olympic Boycott

With unrest in Tibet spreading to a second city in as many days, I'm not surprised to hear the IOC trying to keep countries from bailing on the upcoming Olympic games in Beijing. I understand they want to throw their party, but from my distant (and admittedly under-informed) vantage point, wouldn't a boycott be a way to get the attention of the leadership in Beijing?

When the 2008 games were awarded to Beijing back in 2001, opposition voices cited China's poor record on the environment and on human rights. Seven years later not much seems to have changed.

I'd be interested in your opinion on the matter.

Jermaine & Bret

Saw Flight of the Conchords at The Depot in Salt Lake City last week.
Part of the Omniture Summit.

Mel was not in attendance. Too bad. I was hoping to get her autograph.
